Ms. Grace Teh

Consulate-General of Malaysia, Hong Kong

Grace began her tenure at the Consulate-General of Malaysia in Hong Kong in August 2016.

Her career in Wisma Putra (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia) started in 2011 where she was assigned to the Bilateral Department’s South and Central Asia Division. She then undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration (DPA) course at the Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in 2014, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy (DiD) course at Wisma Putra’s Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) in 2015. At the end of 2015, Grace served as one of Malaysia’s Long-term Delegates to the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York covering issues relating to the Second Committee. Upon returning to Malaysia in 2016, she was then assigned to the Multilateral Political Division during the second half of Malaysia’s non-permanent membership at the United Nations Security Council, before being appointed to Hong Kong.

Grace has an International Master’s Degree in Regional Integration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and Linguistics (English) from the University of Malaya.

She is married to Mr. Wan Ashrul Amahl, a Malaysian diplomat currently assigned to the Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi.
