Ms Yijia Tiong

Yijia Tiong is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (Hong Kong) of Media Chinese International Limited (“MCIL”) (dual listed on HKEX and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad). She was appointed to the position in August 2026 and was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Ming Pao Newspapers Limited, a position she has held since July 2024. Ms Tiong is a member of the Group Executive Committee and Sustainability Committee. She joined the Group in 2011 and has extensive experience in business development, media operations, sales, marketing and corporate management. She is also experienced in digital transformation, AI strategy and development.

Ms Tiong is also the Executive Director of One Media Group Limited, a subsidiary of MCIL which has been listed on the Main Board of HKEX since October 2005.

Ms Tiong was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive director of FWD Group Holdings Limited in May 2021. She has also been an Independent Non-Executive Director of FWD Management Holdings Limited since January 2022.

She graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History and Politics and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Economics and Management and in December 2007. She obtained the Pearson SRF BTEC Level 7 Advanced Professional Diploma for the Financial Times Non-Executive Director in May 2023.
